Artes de Mexico Large Tole Metal & Gesso Mirror Vintage 1960’s.<br>This item came from a relatives estate and was very well cared for. This beautiful flower encircled mirror of lacquered tole metal and gesso is open framework with depth and relief floral detail. Artes de Mexico was the San Miguel de Allende atelier where artisans created furniture in styles indigenous to the region. No two pieces were exactly alike. This piece is signed “Mex” “Saldana” and measures 39” diameter. The mirror is 11” in diameter. It has been moved several times and there are a few places where the enamel has chipped. They are difficult to see unless you’re looking for them because of all of the bright colors of the piece. I did photograph some of the spots that I saw so please view all of the photographs carefully and ask any questions before bidding as all sales are final. I am not an expert in this type of artwork so please if you have a particular question be sure to ask.<br>This piece is quite heavy and large so I would prefer that it be picked up in Jefferson City, Missouri, instead of shipping the item.
